"Before you fight, you must know what you stand for. Before you act, you must decide who you are."
BATTLE DRILL: CREATING THE CODE
OBJECTIVE:
Establish your personal Warrior’s Code—a clear direction for who you must become.
Face the two mirrors—your potential and your failure.
Turn your Warrior’s Code into a personal blueprint using the Mindset, Action, Legacy framework.
Step 1: Make the List
Enemy Mirror – The version of you that fails. (You must Keep this for the Next Section)
Write every excuse, every weakness, every lie you tell yourself.
List the patterns of failure that keep you from your mission.
Identify the temptations and distractions that pull you off course.
Warrior Mirror – The version of you that stands.
Write every strength, every discipline, every unshakable truth that defines you.
List the patterns of resilience that keep you on your mission.
Identify the values, convictions, and habits that sharpen you into a weapon of purpose.
Step 2: Expand the Warrior Mirror
What is their Profession? What do they do? look like? How do they act? What do they value?
How do they handle hardship? What do they sacrifice?
What legacy will they leave behind? What is their Sole Purpose in life?
Step 3: Convert Your Warrior Mirror into Your Warrior’s Code
A Warrior’s Code isn’t just about beliefs—it’s about how you will think, act, and be remembered. To make this real, you will break your code into three components:
1️) MINDSET → Who you are
(Your unshakable internal principles, Your Profession, Your identity)
2️) ACTION → What you do
(How you will act daily, in small and large ways)
3️) LEGACY → What you leave behind
(The impact you will have on others and the world)
Example:
I am a truth teller who refuses to bend to lies especially with myself. I am a college Student who learns with Humility so that I may l grow in knowledge and into the purpose God has for me. I will leave behind a mentality written in the hearts of the people I have endeavored to pour into.
Step 4: Identify the 3 Most Important Warrior Traits
Look at your Warrior Mirror list.
Identify and circle the 3 most important traits that will define you.
These must be non-negotiable—the traits you would die protecting.
Example:
I am disciplined and relentless.I am grounded and present.I am fun and fearless.
Step 5: Carry Your Code with You
Write your Warrior’s Code in bold letters.
Save it as your phone background.
Etch it into your routine.
Get a tattoo if you must. Burn it into your mind.
OUTCOME:
A fully defined Warrior’s Code with clear Mindset, Action, and Legacy statements.
A concrete identity that is unshakable.
A daily reference that keeps you accountable.
EXAMPLE:
My Warrior's Code

"I am a humble teacher, always learning alongside my students. A courageous writer, speaking truth in humility. I am a family man prone to distraction, yet committed to being fully present. I teach, write, provide, and guide—committed to action. I will leave words for those I'll never meet, an example my squad can follow, encouragement to those wandering, and a challenge to those with knowledge. When I am gone, the void will overflow with the leaders I've inspired, students I've empowered, and warriors who carry forward the fight."
